Call Josh

Call (704) 617-1047. Josh asks where the property is, how large it is, how it is occupied, and what has happened to the alarm or sprinkler system. He gives an initial estimate and follows up with a written quote within an hour.

Get the Watch Started

Josh arranges the firewatcher and confirms arrival details with you. The property manager or maintenance director provides access, the affected areas, and any Fire Marshal instructions. We review the patrol route, emergency procedures, and contact information before starting the watch.

Keep the Property Monitored

Firewatchers cover hallways, stairwells, accessible affected areas, and the exterior at the required intervals. They record each patrol in the local Fire Marshal’s format. Josh monitors attendance through geofenced clock-ins and departure alerts, with coordinated relief for continuous assignments.

Confirm Sign-Off

When your repair contractor finishes, let Josh know. He contacts the Fire Marshal’s office to verify the required sign-off before releasing the firewatcher. Billing continues through the end of that scheduled shift. Copies of the completed patrol logs are available on request.

Materials for documenting fire watch patrols

Your Fire Watch Records

We use the patrol log format required by your local Fire Marshal. Firewatchers record the date, time, their name, the areas covered, and any issues observed.

  • Records of the patrol work completed
  • On-site access and authority submissions as required
  • Copies available on request after the assignment ends

The same record-keeping applies whether the assignment lasts a night or several weeks. Josh is your contact for questions about the logs and the completed watch.

Coverage That Fits the Assignment

Overnight or Around the Clock

Some properties need nights only; others need continuous coverage. We arrange the schedule with you around the Fire Marshal’s requirements. Continuous assignments use rotating eight-hour shifts, with staff coordinating the handover through our scheduling system.

Attendance and Relief

Geofenced clock-ins verify that staff are at the assigned property. Josh monitors active shifts, receives departure alerts, and makes unannounced checks. An on-call staff member is available if a scheduled firewatcher cannot attend.

Ending the Watch

Tell Josh when repairs are complete. He contacts the Fire Marshal’s office to verify sign-off before releasing the firewatcher. Billing runs through the remainder of the final scheduled shift.
